Hi everyone!
Hi everyone, I own a 1994 buick regal custom with an L27. I hope to be a long time member. Im 16, so my enthusiastic car modification days have just begun.
Im not sure where to post, but I just bought a 180 degree thermostat and I dont know how to install. I searched through the forums but didnt see any pictures. Does anyone have any? Thanks!

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine and it'* in there. Unscrew the housing, scrape off the old gasket, remove the old 195, put in the 180 with a new O-ring, put on a new gasket, and screw it back together. You may wanna drain some coolant first.

The bolt on top is a bleeder valve for the air. You might want to drain some coolant first (quart or so) before taking out the t-stat otherwise you will lose it over the engine. There should just be two bolts holding the t-stat housing to the block.
Welcome, regal, glad to have your here. Just don't forget the fiber gasket for the 'neck', and the rubber o-ring for the stat. You don't HAVE to drain coolant first, but if you don't, be ready to top it off afterwards. And do this on a cool engine
Thanks all! Thanks for the opinion on the 80 series flow, butit sounds a little too high pitched and raspy for me. I want more of a low note sound through most of the range. Any ideas?
