How do you like my oil pressure mod?


**sigh** Looks like I'm replacing an oil pressure sender...

Make sure it'* plugged in, if still that high, it'* time for a new sender.

I guess it was semi decent timing. I'm due for an oil change in 150 miles and my oil catch is full. I'm going to run home and grab it so autozone can dump it for me, and I'll check to make sure its plugged in. Looks like the easiest way to get at it according to one of Bills posts I found is to remove the passenger tire and splash guard?

Just dump 11 quarts of oil out and you should be good LOL

HA. I don't need to dump it out. Car is spitting it out the valve cover breather just fine. Gotta get that fixed as well.

Nah, it'* not that bad. It doesn't leak enough that I have to top off in between oil changes. It does get annoying because you can smell every drip as it burns off the manifold with the heat on.

Find that oil pressure write up I did and do that. It'* just a washer and a $1.50 gasket.

Thanks for reminding me Dan. Hopefully Autozone has the gasket and the washers, I wrote down the part numbers.

Just get your car up on ramps and you can get to it with oil pressure socket, ratchet and maybe an extension
