Hey Shawn........

First of all. All he has is a K&N conical filter. Will running a 3.4" pulley give him extreme knock? He runs 91 all the time, but me and him are worried that the 3.4" will hinder because of lack of other mods.

And 2, will a power steering pulley puller work also? If so that saves us alot of hassle since the parts store around here lets us borrow stuff for free. Thanks man.

OH. And how much of a P.I.T.A is changing the plugs? In spring he wants to swtich to one heat range colder of NGK'*, but its $75 labour here to get them installed

the risk of it damaging the supercharger pully is not worth it. You can rent them online.. you have to send them around $120 then once you return the tool you get your $120 back.

Or you could invest the money and get a Kwik Change system, I think it comes out to be like 130 witht the sytem and a pulley...

EDIT: just looked, it comes out to be 150 with a pully and the system...

I dont get how you damage the pulley, when your using a pulley puller? Those supercharger pully systems are complete BS scams to make money. A pulley puller is a pulley puller... right??....please someone back me up here...

I think there are three pieces on the charger that have to be taken off at the same time... if that helps...

If I were him I would put on a 3.5" pulley. That should work pretty well on a stock GTP.

And, NO a power steering puller WILL NOT WORK. You have to use one of the supercharger pulley pullers because if you don't not only will you ruin the pulley, but you could easily ruin the blower also. If I posted pics of what happens to the pullies when you don't use the right pulley puller, you wouldn't use the wrong one, thats for sure. But I can't find the pictures right now, so i will post them when I find them.

Changing the plugs is only a PITA because the wires are hard to get off. Getting to the plugs isn't that bad, and as long as you get the wires off it isn't that hard, the factory wires are just a PITA to get off. It takes me ~15 minutes to change plugs on them now that I have done it a few times and the GTP doesn't have the factory wires.

Hope that helps.

Shawn
