help me pick a career

my suggestion is to talk to an advisor at your college. They're always really knowledgeable about that sort of thing at my college. I've been there more than once to talk to them about career paths. They've always been VERY helpful!

I'm switching from Electrical Engineering. I can't get through all the Calculus needed for that degree. I've had one appointment with the advising staff here and they where helpfull. i have another one in a week. I am just trying to find out as much as possible. Oakland seems to be one of the only schools that calls this type of degree Information technology. i can't find much else on it.

I work in IT. My undergrad is in MIS, from CMU. And I've been working in IT since 1997.
What specifics are you looking for? The money is good, hours can be long, but it'* very rewarding. I have no interest in going into another field.

I got some friends that are in it and love it but it is math intensive and I am with you on hating the math but it is every where and can't get away from it

What also looks so good about going for that IT degree is that i would only need to take Stats and Linear Algebra and i would have my math and science and all my gen eds complete! all that remains are the computer courses... i'm sure that they would involve a lot more math but bein in the actual class (not just a math class) i think i could relate it more to my career.
well it sounds like it can't be too bad of a choice. I have that meeting with my advisor on the 13th so maybe i'll have to talk with her more about just this IT degree.
