Default Help me identify a tree:

Clues:

I don't remember this happening the previous year. At least not this bad where I'd notice it.

Tons of small seeds. Literally a carpet, and they're all sprouting now. Very light and they blow around quite a bit.

Tree is just starting to bud out, but I'll dig for another pic of it from a past meet when it'* a little greener:

These seeds get into EVERYTHING. Even now in April.

I've never seen another like it.
Ya, it bothered me when I was at your place. Darn seed pods kept getting caught under my window mouldings and vents.
Took months to get them all out.

Get Katie to visit the book store and look at Tree pics. There are some good ones that help ID from leaves and seeds.

Odd thing is that it didn't do this the previous year though. I'm trying to figure out if it'* going to be an every other year thing or some other odd sequence. Some trees don't seed every year.

This one might not have been bad enough the year before for me to notice. Got another member or two rolling through today for a little mini-meet. We'll see if they can identify it too.

those seeds were a blast to play with when they weren't dried out when we were younger. throw them up in the air or stand on something tall and drop them to have races. Just like posted above. Little hellicopters
