no school today....lots of blizzard warnings, and over 100 schools closed in nebraska

they said it was going to be a "white out" on the weather radio

Hans, you're getting my leftovers. We had a rain/snow mix yesterday. Way out of character for December. Most of our snow usually doesn't start until Mid January.

Great Lakes are getting the leftovers from that Midwest storm now.

this morning there was a drift as tall as me.........and i'm 5' 11"....it was amazing, but good we didnt have school, i didnt want to take on any drifts with my baby

Must be some other Great Lakes region you're referring to. Yesterday was a record high in Flint, MI. 64 degrees. It'* been very unseasonably warm throughout the Great Lakes region.
