thats not true guys. this isn't a BS post.
I never mentioned anything about my Bonneville stolen.
you just assumed it was my Bonneville.
But... I have had a car stolen before.
it was my 86 Bronco
story goes......
I was returning back to work with a bunch of gear that we use
at a company picnic. My rear window
didnt work with the key to open up the tail gate.
so I had to use the power switch inside the truck.
in doing so. I left the keys in the ignition, radio on windows down.
took a load of gear inside my work then came out to get the next.
well somebody must have walked by, heard the radio on, and said free ride.
Truck was no longer in its parking spot
called the police, described the Bronco,
they in turn dispatched it over the radio. A boston Police friend
heard them say a green ford Pickup, just as my Bronco drove by him working a detail.
He knew it was my Bronco but figured I let somebody drive it.
since the dispatch said pickup and not Bronco.
4 days later it was found burnt to a crisp.

Yes I can honestly say I have.
And the hightlights were:
It was no where near a pleasant experience, since the car is my baby.
Friends called to tell me it was on the 11:00 pm news.
They spotted the thief but couldn't catch up to him so when he got cornered in by a street car he abandoned my car.
I got the car back a week later after an investigation with only slight damage.
I was grilled by a police officer re the whole event.
Insurance got involved.
I still have the car.

I too have had my ride stolen. When I lived in Bridgeport. Drugggies stole it 5 times. The first time it was taken from the back parking lot of the local watering hole. After the 5th, I let them keep it.

I had my car stolen. Making a long story short,
It was the Olds Toronado Caliente' I showed in another post.
I took it to a bar one night.
I met a girl there and she needed me to take her home.
I go to my car (where my car was) and there was a pile of glass on the ground.
We took a cab to her house, and she had to wake her dad to get his car to take me home..
And they did find it a week later on a side street with the keys still in it and in the on position, but not running. Beer cans, seat way back, cigar butts...No wire wheels. Chrome trim gone...Then it got totaled in front of my house. (Thats the pic in the "Your ride" thread)

yup
My 74 Javelin SST. I had just finished a performance rebuild on the 360 and dropped it in the week before. My sister came home on morning and was surprised I was home...Huh? Well your car'* not there she says.
A phone cal to the police revealed they had found it a few hours earlier wrapped sideways around a telephone pole. I just about cried when I went to check her out, she was so bad I left with just the stuff I had in the trunk.
