Venom is spot on. You can't fix a mechanical problem with a can. Things to avoid are puke in a can (radiator sealer) engine honey, or anything that makes fantastic claims. Use this and gain 20 hp, stuff like that.

BAck to Seafoam, as an injector/fuel system cleaner it is one of the better ones. It takes care of fuel deposits and varnish like the old school carb cleaners they aren't allowed to package anymore. Who cares if frogs grow two heads as long as my engine responds to the throttle. ;-P

I wasn't looking for a mechanic in a can, I was looking for inforamtion. I had seen a commecial for the stuff on SPEED, and remembered reading a thread about someone using it. I couldn't remember the results. GXPVenom you answered my question about the cleaning abilities of it. Like you I care about one thing, and it is NOT two headed frogs. My SSEi has 130,000 miles and still gets 23-24 on the highway, even with my smaller */c pulley. I owe that to my religious maintenance practices. I believe in fixing mechanical problems the right way, not a cheap out of the can fix. Like Danthurs I don't give into the hype of "miracle" products.

Me and Dan were talking about the Speed Show. They and a few others show no integrity while recommending products they get paid to promote. Royal Purple is another one to steer clear of. Why is it so high priced when in Independent tests we reviewed here awhile back, it came in behind Amsoil and Mobil 1. And broke down before quite a few others. But quite a few shows swear by it....... And you always see the company in the sponser credits.

I used Royal Purple once, it lasted about 500 miles in my engine. I have and always will use Mobil 1 in my engine and tranny. I have never had any problems and have been very impressed with it.
