i tryed that trick and nothing happen and i also uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. and in my bios it says my small hard drive the master and my main hard drive is slave and i just checked the wire select, small HD is set for slave by wire and jumper. :?

There is no such thing as setting master osr slave by wire anymore. Double and triple check your jumper settings...

ill do that right now ill take everything apart but i dont know how it could change all i did was unplug the hard drive i didnt take it out or anything but ill do that right now.

In many cases, ther still is. My computer is only a year old, but it still relies on a master and slave system -- it'* how the computer identifies what drive it'* working with. If both are set for master, both are set for slave, it will pick one drive and stick wit hit, or it may just decide it can't see either.

Try reversing your jumpers -- it'* good practice to set the boot drive as the master...

ok first off no offense but whyed you even undo the drive in winxp'* set up hell even winme win2k and dos will let you chose where and what drive you wont to install onto as long as you know what ones what, and if you can I'd try finding some kinda software hard drive data recovery tool to try and get your data back if its not showing up

well i wasnt sure which hard drive it would default to install win xp. but i set the jumper and all is fine so is the info on the unallocated hard drive able to be found or not and should a make a parttition and see if that lets me access other parts of the hard drive that all my pic are on.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!

DO NOT partition, format, or in any way touch that drive! If you do so, you're much less likely to get back your data!

um this may sound dumb but i dont have any floppy disk and it asks for a floppy disk.
