Ok so they still aren't going to replave the phone in the living room yet - thanks. <Thinks about how to build a 60ft usb cable...LOL> But really, why bother buying a phone if your going to be that close to the computer, just use your gaming headset and let the computer dial..
My brothers been calling me on Skype for probably close to 10 years now, I know how bad the quality can get
Thanks for the info!
Tim

Ok so Skype wasn't around 10 years ago. VoIP definitely was. I don't know the name of it from back then but I'm certain that currently its Skype and has been for at leat 3 year

Ok I did some looking on the voip wiki and it looks like he used gizmo, that one rings a bell too. Thanks for clearing my Skype blunder.

We used to get those VOIP calls all the time at my old job. They'd be calling from somewhere overseas for free. Talk about horrible quality...

And then, of course, they'd get mad because we had a hard time understanding them...

Young'uns... not everyone waited for it to become the latest fad. Of course gaming was strictly text way back then, but we'd still get some good Star Treking in or some D&D (i forget the name now) that my buddy wrote.

LMAO! I found a wiki of Star Trek we used to play! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_%28text_game%29

DUDE!! I loved that game!! I had the text of the program at one time. I had to type it all in to play it in one of my original computers.

Did you get to play the multi-user version? that was great too, taking on an enemy force that wasn't 'easy' was a blast!

Now back on topic! <cracks that whip>
