I enjoyed my regal when I got it in Sept 2002. Mine was a 2000 GSE with 74k on it with all options but onstar. Mostly highway miles on it and we picked it up for around $9400. I drove the car til december 2003 when we traded it with 98,500 miles on it and got a VERY generous $6250 for trade. Most other places only offered us $3000-4000 tops for it. So resale with those is tough.

As for accomodations, I enjoyed the car. It has a small DIC, but doesn't give you everything the bonneville does. It does give you a digital read of the boost, oil life, average gas mileage, instantaneous gas mileage and I thin one other thing. I liked the instantaneous gas mileage one myself. I know 2000 or 2001 was the last year for some stuff on the car, and I think performance shift button was one of the Items.

I enjoyed mine when I had it and the heated seats more than made up for the lack of HUD (since it is cold here in the winter) Back seats don't have a whole lot of leg room if there is a tall person up front. Fold down rear seat was nice.

That DIC with the digital boost sucks. The ol' lady'* GTP has the same, you can't beat a mechanical gauge for accuracy.

The Buick is to tame for you Matt, I drove one, a guy at work has a blue 2k2 Regal, it lacks fun of the GTP or Bonnie. Buicks seem to have inflated price issues as well...

While I agree the digital boost gauges suck, even the analog gauges on the SSEi'* are NOT mechanical. They are a digital signal converted to analog for the needle sweep.

That'* why I upgraded to a true mechanical gauge.
