Actually looking at the statistics, what I find intriguing are the percentages of respondants from various states. Of course California is #1 at 8.37% of the total, but guess who is #2? Pennsylvania?? Wow.

That is a really odd distribution. Look at the pockets of "soda" people in the heart of the country and along the western side of Lake Michigan.
I've always called it Pop. I only hear the Americano'* calling it Soda. How do you think Kim Mitchell'* song would sound like if he sang " Go For A Soda" Go for a Pop?

I grew up calling it Pop. Now I call it soda cause thats what the wife called it although she has lived here her whole life. Now I say soda and frankly Pop sounds pretty strange to me. But around this way pretty much everyone calls it Pop.
