I'm not sure what happened either exactly. My home town of Battle Creek just had a police officer shot in the line of duty I think last week after the officer was just going to question somebody about a taxi driver that was murdered and the suspect shot the cop as he was asking the questions. the suspect then fled to the detroit area in 3 different stolen cars along the way.

Basically what happened from what we got in the debrief is it was a gang related gunbattle.
