I used to have an 82 LTD with the interceptor in it. I hated that car (except the body, it had a nice body). You notice I don't have it anymore. I sold a guy the car, he put the motor and tranny in his F100 and junked the rest.

But seriously, if my car was to be out of commission permanently for whatever reason, I would consider a cop car or a Crown Vic with the sport pkg.

I've driven 3 of these (all in the family)
My older sister has a 1988 in great shape with the 5.0L & loaded the seats are comfy, it has torque and gearing to haul weight but it'* far from fast but no one is going to hurt you with that big hunk of steel around you.
My little sister got a 94 from my stepdad (thankfully she likes gm.) It burns oil, burns oil doesn't get the best gas mileage. But it'* reliable as a ford can get. (transmission makes a werid vibration sometimes, which was semi fixed by a new oil ford reccommended to run in there. Mercon V?)
My Grandpa has a 2000 or 2001 and like the others it feels torquey but it'* not fast.
Not bad cars; I'm not a ford guy but
Ed

here are some pics of tha beast....
if anyone just might want to buy it...just maybe...he might go down on yah...$3000 is a bit high for this car...even if it is in the condition it is in. I would have gotten pics of the inside, but when i went back today, it was locked...by the way, it was 8 0'clock when i took these...i will replace them with some daylight pics...
i wish i had that 4.6 in my bonne...that would be fun
Wooh, that might take a while
