Default Grand Marquis...PICS...(56k...you've been WARNED)

ewwww....

I just got home from test driving a '92 Grand Marquis....I HATE FORDS!!!! The only thing that I liked about that car was the 210 hp V8...that thing REALLY moves...other than that...the steering was WAY too light, it does not have the nice road feel bonnevilles have...i guess thats because the steering in ours is R&P and that is Recirc....another thing i don't like, the brakes....they are wayyy too sensitive...the speedometer only goes to 85 I had it up to 90 before i knew it...that is really the wrong speedometer for that engine....also...the steering does not recorrect...i did a quick Uey and i almost slammed into a utility pole.... that would have sucked...this car really looks nice....it is not leather, but the outside is nice...no rust...125,000 miles..and they are asking $3k...i know the book is $1.5k but he added a whole bunch of new stuff...like "nail guard" tires as he calls them...and some other stuff...nice car...but not for me....i like to road feel for the bonnevilles....

Oh I love the Crown Vics, especially the newer ones. I want a sheriff Crown Vic all in black, black exterior, black interior (can be gray) and black steelies. Then just slap on the standard go-fast stuff. Unforunately, my car is still running. But seriously, if my car was to be out of commission permanently for whatever reason, I would consider a cop car or a Crown Vic with the sport pkg.

I learned how to drive with full size fords and like the comfort and room. All in all they are a great road trip car. They are not performers though. The steering is numb, handling bouncy, acceleration merly adequate, and braking is average. They are not ment to be "luxary with attitude". Just plan basic big ol grandma car. Still love em though and wouldn't mind having one.

really updgrades don't really add much value to a car, unless your car person. What other upgrades does he have. it would have done major upgrades for me to pay double the price. I am think 3k is to much for me. As for my opinion on ford'* they alright as long their are none in my driveway. For after cavilar, intruige(man I miss that car),corisca, bonnieville, and the mailbu I must so I like how gm product feels. Yes my girlfriend did own ford focus , I really didn't like the way it drove. For the record I do usually like the way modern chyrsler/dodge drive ,although the all seem to have lot of mechinic problems.

I had a Grand Marquis rental after my LT1 Buick Roadmaster was totalled, while I was shopping for the SSEi. It paled in comparison to both cars.

i would say that acceleration was ok its a hell of alot better than my LN3

but handling SUCKS....ride is very good on bumps.... :?

but the WORST thing is the STEERING, THERE IS NO FEEL TO IT!!!

my friend who went with me to test drive it LOVED it and said it WAS WAY BETTER than my Bonne, I wanted to kick him....

GM 'fo life...esp Bonnes...i wish GM would bring em back...that would RULE!!

Thanks for responding ot my rant..
