Default Gotta Love Freebies!

My new truck, 95 GMC 1500, Ext. Cab short box, leather, all options, 6 " lift and 35'*, 33'* are on it right now to fit it in the garage.

Got the truck because it had a bad motor and the owner didn't wanna deal with it anymore, just wanted it gone. SCORE!

Going from getting into a low car like my Bonneville, to like climbing into that monstrosity...it was pretty fun to drive over there...You're WAY up in the air....then the engine finished off like 2 blocks from the house LOL.

The oil pump was on it'* way out of existance and started knocking REAL bad. Since the engine was obviously beyond repair, it was a 10 mile drive and figured, eh I'll chance it. LOL

made it 9.2 miles on about 4-6 psi on the oil pressure gauge, then it dropped and the engine finished. Roached the lower end out of it. But, I've got another engine sitting in it already, just need to bolt it all in and do some odds and ends. So hypothetically, I should have it on the road tonight sometime.

The block of the other engine is still good despite the spun like everyother bearing and wrist pins seizing up HARD (I can't get them to break loose at all LOL)

So, I was thinking, and I've done this before with the truck I have now, why not build ANOTHER 383 Vortech Stroker?? ****** eatin' grin on face**
Dude, I have money, but not THAT much lol.

Got the new motor fired up tonight......no exhaust, open manifold, God what a beautifull sound!

Of course, the first turn of the key, she fired RIGHT off. Literally 1 sec of cranking and she was running and idling smooth. Not bad for a motor I've had sitting in my friends pull barn for 2 yrs.

Then we check'd it all over, took it for a few spins around the block, then got a loud exhaust warning....LOL.....only me hahaha.

I'm not sticking anymore money into this rig, as I have it sold now, oddly enough So I'm driving it for the next two weeks just to make sure it'* mechanically sound.

Anyone wanna guess what I'm getting for it?
