1975 trans am. car is very solid. floors and trunk solid as a rock. used to be a *. carolina car. has a 455 under the hood and a heavy duty 12 bolt rear end. needs a lot of work but its a great car to start with. only bad part of the body is the lower quarter behind drivers wheel. it has been stored indoors and hasnt been started in about 12 years. i will be busy this winter !

If you need to make more room in the garage, I'll take the GTO off your hands...
looks like a great project to start on. Was it originally a 455, or was that added (noticed the shaker says 400 on it)? What are the plans for it?
Best of luck with the car and make sure to update us with the project.

its a 1975 455 but not original to the car. i hope to get it running in a couple of weeks to find out if the engine is any good. then it will be time for de-construction ! it wont be totally original when i am done but not too far from it. my wife already wants me to sell it when i am done because she REALLY wants a chevelle. we'll see. got to get it done first. hopefully she will fall in love with it. it will be "her car ".

What shape are the rear strut mounts in? and how is the "Hump" in the center of the rear seat?
2 things to look at in that car and that era.

i have looked over the underneath of the car the best i could where it was sitting. didnt see ANY rust holes in the floors or trunk. going hunting for a week now so i will have to wait until i start taking it apart to see what i find. but it looks really good. waaaaaaay better shape than my gto was in when i got it. this one will be a piece of cake to do compared to that.
