Hm..why not find an old 3800? That'* what i'm doing, so if something does happen i am more familiarized with the engine. I'm drivin an 89 Buick LeSabre this winter

I'm with Alien on this one, find an older "used" 3800 so you can fix anything in particular that may go wrong during your winter driving. As for me I detune the Redrocket. Rims come off and N20 bottle goes inside.
something thats cheap, cheap to fix & runs good. Doesnt matter what it is IMHO( I only buy cars with waranties though).
Hell, if I needed to i'd sport a chevette( used to have one but I had a small block in it), if it meant having to get to work & back.
