I don't know if I read right, but you "think" the WRX STi has AWD? Every Subie ever built has AWD... I dont suggest an older one, however, as parts aren't so cheap, and older examples of Subarus tend not to have the greatest reliability

i know that. it was what one might call a "joke" considering the power that car has and the fact he is looking for a winter car (winter in his neck of the woods usually has snow which ='* low traction

Hm..why not find an old 3800? That'* what i'm doing, so if something does happen i am more familiarized with the engine. I'm drivin an 89 Buick LeSabre this winter

..i'm sure you could find one for cheap just like what i have.

I'm with Alien on this one, find an older "used" 3800 so you can fix anything in particular that may go wrong during your winter driving. As for me I detune the Redrocket. Rims come off and N20 bottle goes inside.

something thats cheap, cheap to fix & runs good. Doesnt matter what it is IMHO( I only buy cars with waranties though).

Hell, if I needed to i'd sport a chevette( used to have one but I had a small block in it), if it meant having to get to work & back.
