Default Good project car?

I was looking at this car and $2000 new engine its a 96 v8 I Figure worst comes to worst the tranny rebuild would be like $1600 so $3600 for a car like this seems like a good deal?

Only thing that I really dont like is that its a 96 ford with a v-8 and it only produces 215 hp and 285 ft lbs of tourque for a v-8 seems kinda weak

I'm not sure, but it sounds like he was filling the tranny fluid with the engine off.
