ugh. I too had a similar experience just a few weeks ago. we were moving and I had put my desk in the back of the trunk upright. It was tied down and everything, but stupid us, we put the back of the desk facing forward, so the desk was catching wind. (it was also at the back of the truck of course..) Anyways, on mile 12 of 13 on the drive to the new place, a gust of wind picked the desk up out of the back of the truck, and the desk flew into the air and landed on the road just feet in front of my Aurora. (I was following the truck.) The desk literally EXPLODED when it hit the road at 50 MPH. Good thing I had good brakes, I was able to avoid most of the desk and only ran over the broken desktop. There wasn't a single peice of that desk that didn't shatter when it hit the road.. It was a complete loss. hah.
