Well, the 98' is a series 2 which is prone to the upper intake faliure. I've noticed this is starting to ruin the resale of all these cars dramaticaly. The 94' is stripped and has flaws. Power window motors arn't cheap. It has relatively high miles as well. You want to see a VERY cheap car with NO resale value, look at the Dodge Intrepid. You beat an Intrepid once and its done.

I agree with Fantastic. I'm worried about the '94 having no reserve. The only reason I think someone on Ebay would do that is if they want whatever they can get for it. It just makes me think something might be seriously wrong with it. As for the '98, it already has 100,000 miles on it. It may be needing some serious work soon. A '98 Bonneville that is in good shape and has close to 70,000 miles on it could run up to $8,000 at a dealer sale. As for the '94 again, we have some local dealers selling them for up to $3,000.00 so I would either expect to get screwed over by the dealer, or expect to buy a project car.

Bonneville transmissions are great, but they hate abuse. They don't mind spirited drving and don't mind being floored once and a while. Here, i'll give you a list of things NOT to do with these trannys.
1. Neutral drops.
2. Flooring it while pelling tires around corners.
3. Excessive burnouts.
4. High RPM brake torquing.
5. The big thing- not getting the fluid flushed every 30,000 to 50,000 miles.
Mine is great and I reach redline at least 5 times a week, but I don't do the things listed above.
