If you were suited up and given a helmet, would you go for a ride in the passenger seat?

The thing is, I don't know what other damage I might have done when it overheated. I'm willing to bet there'* a lot of hidden damage. Besides, where its higher mileage, who knows when something else could go wrong with it.

I'm looking into a 2001 LeSabre with 190k kms on it now. From the pictures it appears to be pretty solid, and supposedly it only needs a hand brake cable to pass inspection.

if you can get another decent car that would be better but, typically not going to get anything decent for a couple hundred bucks

id rather drive than ride. i want a job where they say "today we are going to shut the whole city down and you just what ever you want" with the 650hp race car they paid for
