its good they have a program for that. home owners insurance was what i was talking about.

my house was the same as that one, through M&T who were not upfront with the fees to begin with. we put like 10k down and ended up paying about 1000/month, we make one payment for tax/ins/mortgage. taxes down there may not be as bad.

Taxes on that house are less than $1500 a year, and I'm betting insurance will be less than $1k. This is all the stuff we'll get into with the realtor though.

My taxes are over twice that, makes me sick. Our sales tax is higher too

both our families are here, i thought about leaving before we had a kid, somewhere in rural PA or around lynchburg/roanoke area in VA. just because i love the mountains and the weather there but we would be by ourselves, now we got a house and a kid and were not going anywhere.

To each their own. I couldn't stay in a state, no matter what was there for me, if it turned into something I didn't agree with.
