Some Dealerships know you can get the same exact part from other sources. I have not bought any parts from the Parts Dept of my Pontiac Dealer yet, but I have done business with a local VW Dealer(for my VW Beetle, naturally). When I balked at their prices for replacement parts, they offered me a hefty discount which basically matched the prices I could get from another source. If the Dealer wants your business they might make you a Deal that you can't refuse. If not, you can always say No and go somewhere else.
