man, its still about 3.10 here today, but i dont expect it to last. we are all getting cornholed and theres really not a damn thing we can do about it either. they say "drive less, use less gas, prices will go down." "they" can kiss my ***. tis will never change, and its gonna run our whole ocuntry into the ground, and our gavenment will never do a thing about it. at least not for a couple more years, hopefully then someone thats not profitting from oil money can step in and try to clean up this whole mess. i work in the RV industry, and summer is supposed to be nuts with orders and overtime, this year, layoffs, four day weeks, it sucks. nobody can afford to pull a camper, much less go on a vacation anymore. i cant imagine how crappy its gona get when winter gets here. THATS supposed to be the slow season...

I haven't used my camper for the past 2 years. Mostly in part to life events but this year it is a combination of life events and gas costs. I pull it with the toyota pickup so the gas isn't too horribly bad but I don't want to camp close to home.

It'* fine. I'm just contemplating not going to work because I can't afford to drive anymore. Maybe when people can't make it to work, and the country shuts down for a week, it'll raise a few eye brows.... I doubt it. Gas company moto... "Hooray for me and **** you!"

Ethonol plant is going to be built in Alma. Heard 2 other are proposed in Michigan. Too bad all OPEC has to do is drop the price a bit and everyone will go back to gas and the E85 will die out. I believe thats about how it went in the 70'* when everyone decided to go to compact cars during the gas crisis.

BTW, regular is still $2.98 here. Hasn't moved since it dropped 3 days ago. I still think this $4 crap is just some gouging at a few stations/areas. At least I hope so :?

Is the old Total plant along 27 going to be used to produce ethonol? That plant closed in 98 or 99. I remember it was in production for part of the time I went to CMU (96-00).

Where'* the other one going?
