General Chat is for just that. General things that pertain to all vehicles in general and automotive discussion. Lately we see a trend to ignore the Mechanical Sections and members just lumping anything and everything into Chat. This doesn't help you (Gearheads during the day stay mainly in the Mechanical Sections and alot of similar model owners don't peruse the Chat and lounge), doesn't help the Forum (searchbots are looking for keywords and relevent thread titles that help direct new people doing searchs to come here), nor does it help other members now and future when they use our forum search engine. Please put your Mechanical questions in the categories provided in the Mechanical Sections, use better relevant descriptions, and help all out. As well we see alot of Tech questions without people stating Year/Model/Engine. These things help alot and i would be great to see members put these in the Signature box, or include in the sig pic like mine is. Thanks.
