Your router only has 2mb flash so you have to use a micro installation. Here is the latest build for your router... 14896
http://www.dd-wrt.com/routerdb/de/do...neric.bin/3746
The installation guide is here. You have to use the TFTP flashing method with your router.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Installation
Make sure you read the entire installation guide before you try this because you can brick your router. Also read Notes 1-5 here:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51486
If you have any questions, please ask so you don't ruin your router.

I'll give it a go. I usually hard wire it to the existing router and put in the front window when I boil maple sap. Makes time go by easier. Not a big loss if I brick it. LOL

GEEEEEZ!!!. Well after reading all that and understanding about 50% of it my brain is on High Fry. Seems mine has special problems and alot of procedures I know zip about. Think I'll either do the hard wiring it to the window, or buy the $23 repeater. But thanx.

Wireless clients on the far end of a wireless bridge will have their bandwidth cut in half. As most wireless connections are faster than Internet connections, this should only become an issue if you have really, really fast Internet service (i.e., >30 Mbps).
Just something to bear in mind.

As long as your bandwidth requirements are within this halved bandwidth amount there will be little or no reduction in "speed".

LOL, after reading through what Jon linked, I only have half a mind to keep. I'll just buy the cable and run it to the window. What the links detail are unfamiliar to me, gives my router limited function because of the brand, and bricking a great possibilty. Then on to setting it up as a repeater? Nyet!

OK, new question. Instead of hooking it up wired to my modem in the office, Can I run a DSL cable from my computer in the kitchen that is hooked to modem in office by wireless to the Belkin router?
