Gas Station pumps
How do we know since gas stations have these 3 or 4 in one pumps that if we are getting 93 that it isnt 89 or 97? Also how do we know if that the last personm that used the pump and used 87 and I put some 93 after ther use that some of the 87 isn't in there?
I think I am going to have to find and stick with the old fashioned pumps with there own individual station.

I've wondered this myself heres what I tried though see if it works for you.
Take the pump handle and squeze the trigger before you turn off the pump, mine was dry and only a couple of drop came out? It seems the hose is not holding any fuel, just my observations

Speaking of gas pumps, if you frequent the same station try to find out when the gas is delivered to the tanks. Make sure you do not buy gas that day or the next day either. When gas is delivered into the tanks it stirs up the water and sediment in the tank. It usually takes 24 to 36 hours for the water and dirt to settle back to the bottom of the tank.

just a side note, check the accuracy too! Wife fueled up our Bonney one day recently, tank was almost empty but it made it to the station with no trouble. Now we all know that we have 18 gallon tanks, so why did this one require 19.9 gallons before the pump clicked off? Station attendenant didnt have an answer for that one either LOL. I wouldnt have believed it if I hadnt seen it with my own 2 eyes
