Thank you, I know we in Canada don't have it as bad as you do over there, but it is twice as bad as they have it in the U.*. but yet it is the people in the U.*. that keep belly aching about this , that , and everything else.

This topic was old last year, and it was old the year before, and it is still old now.

I know you guys have expensive gas in Canada and even more expensive gas in England, so I don't think our complaint is the actual price of gas. The thing that bothers me is the current price relative to what it used to be. Within the last 5 years gasoline has DOUBLED. My $32 tank would've been a $16 tank during the summer of 2000 (I think that was the year gas was $.99/gallon), so the $2.00+ actual price isn't what'* killing me. $120 a month isn't too bad to keep my car on the road. It'* just the fact that a very short time ago gas was a heck of a lot cheaper.

Actually, in 2000 is when gas peaked since the oil crisis in the late 70s. But, yes, I see your point. I clearly remember paying $2.15 /gallon that summer in my "new" Lumina.

I realize we can't do anything about prices. And compaining about it doesn't change anything. However, it is 100% ridiculous how oil tankers just "happen to explode" or refineries just "happen to catch on fire" when we get into peak driving season. I know it'* supply and demand, however, it'* ludacris how volitle the prices are.

IMO, OPEC needs to be more heavily regulated by the governments. The really sadenning part about the rising oil prices is that our government doesn't seem to care or take interest. I guess it'* like tobacco....people will still buy it and consume it no matter what the price is.

$15 would fill up my tank back in '91 when my parents first bought her. Now it is $45 to fill her up. And Ben, it was '99 when gas was $.99/gallon. In 2000 it started going up slightly, and after 9/11/01, it spiked up quick.
