I wish it was back to $3.18 US a gal......

When I did the math for $1.299 it worked out to be about $4.19/Gallon (in USD)

I got the call at work today that gas was rising by 20 cents a litre, ran down and quickly filled Super Evil, $119 for a fill before the price went up
Was funny to see people filling jerry cans in preps of the big raise, like $1.09 was cheap or something

It seems to be sky high in my area...higher than anyone else has commented for in the US...

I just paid $3.39 for regular at the Speedway for my Chevy P/U.

Right now I think it is like $3.50 for regular around here.

And about your oil question....it has something to do with gas not following simple economics...its like backwards.

Doing some math here to put into perspective.
87.9 litre last spring
129.9 litre now

Mackenzie to Norwalk Ohio (Pontiac Nationals) is 5020 miles return.
Empty pickup I get 20mpg (imperial gallon=4.54 litres) so towing Bone Evil (my plan) I might get 15? (makes for easy math too )
Thats 335 gallons of gas
In the spring it would have cost $1336
Now it would cost $1976

Thats an increase of $640
