It'* only going to get worse. Gas is a necessity, so you have to do what you can to save money. :?

I always fill up when the trip meter reaches 250 miles and the last time cost me $30.00. Gas was at $2.79 but now its down to $2.73.

I just remembered, us in the US should not be complaining...Canadian Gas Prices are like through the roof compared to ours....in most places...

Canada Average (converted) $3.41USD/GAL
United States Average: $2.80 USD/GAL

Poor Canadians...

Couple things. With the exchange rate, it is really $2.96. Also remember they are used to paying more. Not that it makes it any better, but if we had been budgeting accordingly all along, it wouldn't seem so bad. Also keep in mind Europeans are paying $5-7...But they have been like that for quite some time, we will all eventually adapt. Look already, all we want is $2.25 gas...that would seem CHEAP to us. 5 or 6 years ago we would be up in arms at that price.

Thing is, Europeans have better access to public transportation. We dont.

You got that right!! Where I live we don't have busses or trains to be able to go places like in Chicago or other big cities. A car is a must have here. I've even thought about trying to car pool but I hate to ride with other people and be on their time schedules.

They've always paid more for gasoline and the prices have been increasing at a steady rate.

There'* corporate price gouging going on here, and the government isn't stepping up to break the cycle. Only in the US have gas prices risen almost 300% in 5 years. That'* uncalled for. I guess that'* why the oil companies are able to post record profits.

Heh, I didn't used to either. I would fill half and it would cost me 25-30...now I let it go almost until the chime...35 WTF.

Half tank for me is about 12 gallons. Almost empty last time was 14, this time it was 17...
