the lack of low end power is probably because its a heavy AWD sedan.....
I don't know the G35s too well yet, but are these AWD all the time? Probably a stupid question, but I didn't know – I thought they would be. I tried to peel out but couldn't break them loose either. Low end (< 3000 rpms) definitely didn't feel the same as my 03. But above that...

i believe that the G35x are full time AWD... i could be wrong though

Jim, 07s have the 3.5 w/ 306hp

The lack of low end could also be the peak tq of 268ft/lb at 4800rpms (5200rpm according to another source). Compared to the L67 with 280ft/lb at < 3600.

I could live without the tq for a 13.9 sec sedan from the factory though.
