FWD vs. RWD

Although RWD is more fun, it'* a lot less practical. In most RWD cars, you get worse gas mileage than its FWD equivalent. Not only that, but it'* MUCH better in the snow. Believe me, I've had to get my friend'* Q45 unstuck with the 'burban multiple times... That said, for the true enthusiast, RWD is a better choice just because it is a HECK of a lot more fun...

with good tires and a couple sandbags in the trunk RWD run just fine in the snow, there is kind of a tradeoff though.
FWD, if you have no drive traction you also loose steering traction, in RWD you maintain steering even when you loose drive traction
FWD is easier to maintain control, but harder to regain once control is compromised
