I'm infatuated with these. Can you imagine the steering linkage in these things? Or driving one while sitting 2 stories high?

I got to sit in the drivers seat of one of those two summers ago, it was pretty cool! I was shocked to see one go for over $4 million last year. There was a group of people that restored one with donated funds near me, that was the one I sat in. I hear they plan to sell it soon. I wonder what they will do with the millions? I'll have to find the picture I have from the driver'* seat. I was surprised how small the engine was.

it appeared on Batman Beyond [more or less] the animated series in the mid-90'*. the makers of batman beyond based their SWAT team trucks on it.
