Looks like something I would definately participate in
I dont have any sound at work, but I was laughing from just watching it. I am surprised that more of the bystanders didn't freak out.

I have participated in a few but nothing with that many people or as funny...
the most recent was running through a dorm building on William & Mary College Campus with about 19 people yelling and skipping, around 11:00 at night starting from the top floor and going down one level and crossing to the other side and going down the next level ect...
that was fun and took a total of about 10 seconds for my friend Andrew having the idea when we left his dorm room to commencing it and everyone did it....lol
so many odd looks, but then again it was a college dorm room so not many were surprised, lol.

You know, that term is borrowed from sci-fi. Anybody read Larry Niven? He wrote a bunch of stories about the consequences of cheaply available teleportation booths as a means of transportation. One of the side effects was "flash mobs" and "flash riots" that occured when it became possible for people to step into a booth, dial a set of coordinates and step out of another booth right at the scene of a news story, or a sale, or a restaurant opening, or just about anything. A crowd forms almost instantly(a "flash crowd") and as the crowd grows, word gets out about it, and various troublemakers and pickpockets show up to work the crowd, which quickly degenerates into a mob and then into violence("flash riot"). When things get out of hand, the troublemakers and thieves simply step into a booth and disappear.
The solution that his fictional police found to catch them was to simply institute a program by which they can lock down the area by diverting all outgoing teleports to a central detention area. You step out of the riot into a booth, dial your coordinates, and instead of being home free, you find yourself in a booth where the floor drops open and tumbles you into a slick-sided bowl, where they can fish the rioters out and process them one by one.
