I read the posting in the NOTICE category and thought that it might be a good idea to have an official definition from the admins for what a flame is, or what constitutes flaming. I know what it is, but other people may not and this might help clear up understanding for down the road. Just my $0.02

Anything taken as offensive towards a PERSON or what said PERSON considers important, friends, family, beliefs that kinda thing. I'm sure people will want to add to this

Flames are easy to see when they happen and we want to avoid them

Like the other pissy-stared moderator said, personal attacks, degrading statements made toward or about a person because of his or her likes, beliefs, interests, etc.

Example: "95BonnevilleSESC is a stupid retard because he likes Lincolns"

Example: "Willwren is a fat toehead"

Example: "BC members are (insert appropriate expression here) because Bonnevilles are slow grocery getters and everyone knows that (insert appropriate rice car here) can beat them.

These are lame examples, but you see the pattern of personal attacks in the first two, and the general purpose of flaming for the sake of rable rousing in the third.
