Default First Ticket

Well today i got my first ticket today . I have only ever been pulled over once before that for a broken taillight. I got the ticket for out of date registration... i know a stupid thing to get a ticket for. The deal is i have never renewed a plate before, i have never had a plate for a year. And on my birthday i went into the secretary of state because i had to get the plate transfered from my dads name to my name because i was turning 18, i told the lady there i aslo wanted to renew it... but i guess she forgot and me never having done it before thought that was all i had to do, guess not. I am pretty pissed, i really hope my insurence dosn't go up... i deffinately can't afford that! I will find out tomorow how much the ticket will be. The bad part is i am near broke and my first paycheck for my job dosn't come for about 2 weeks. At least I wont have any points on my liscense .

aaaah brings back some first ticket memories for me....and yes your insurance will go up, or at least id say it will.

I got a ticket for running a red light, i was actually pulled over for speeding, but the cop cut me a break and gave me a ticket for running a red light before i started speeding....he also said he wasnt even going to pull me over for running the light.....I sat at a left turn signal for like 5 minutes and not a single car was coming, so I just went.....guess that got his attention and he started following me, then i started speeding.

my insurance went up, cant remember if it put points on my license or not

Its not a moving violation so you're insurance will NOT go up.

my first ticket was going 10 over AND failing to have a licence (i had lost my wallet THAT DAY)...found it a few days later....and we went to court and i show the officer my licence before we went in and he droped the licence ticket right there....its proof that i have one or my parents didn't take it and i was illigaly driving or w/e....and actually last month on the 20th i went back in to show i did the community service and stuff and everything was droped

bleh

so my first ticket was "a good one"

I almost missed my renewal, i wasn't even paying attention and then the last day of that month dad took it in that morning and had it back here withough me knowing, a day later i realise my licence plate were differnt...and im like wtf...i look back at the expediton and theres the tag that were on the Bonne....and im like i said i wanted W BOOZE and the next month for my birthday i got my vanity plates saying W BOOZE

jees, thats kind of a harsh fine for just forgetting the renewal, i would think the cop would just remind you and give you a warning, not charge yah 100 for just forgetting!

luckily i have not gotten a ticket yet...and i don't forget things like renewals because i always put all my renewals in my Outlook calendar to remind me, 1 month, 2 weeks and 1 week ahead of time. Saved me from alot of crap! AND I have started slowing down on the highway recently. I still do alot of fast starts and fast slows...( i seem addicted to the sound of my exhause and the smell of burning brakes) oh well, good luck!

Exactly.

Chalk up the $98 to an expensive lesson learned and move on. No sense in dwelling on it.
