Record snowfall for October in Western NY... up to two feet in some areas. Heavy wet snow has been dumping on the area (Lake Effect snow).... 230,000 customers are without power... trees and power lines are down all over the place.... 100 miles of the Interstate 90 is closed between Dunkirk, NY and Rochester, NY. All schools and most businesses are closed.
Unbelieveable... and snuggled up next to Lake Ontario... we got nothing - zip, zero, nada - until 8am this morning. I could have mowed my grass this morning.

List of closings... unreal! Lake Erie was still up to 60 degrees... so this huge stalling cold air mass came over and just sucked up the water and dumped it on the area.... The news stations are comparing it to what places look like after a Hurricane....
