And how many freaking handles to you need? You've only got one friend named GreyHare...and I doubt he'll ever touch another handle...

I love going to the junkyard. We drive the pickup through there. Some of the ruts are deep and I have to hold myself or put out an eye. lol The last time we went I hurt my knuckle wrenching off a bracket. That sucker was rusted some so I had to put extra oomph and when it loosened my knuckle hit the edge of the fender. I only cussed a little. My mother rolls her eyes when we return the pickup and I have greasy hands and am excited about my collection of goodies.

Ours isn't open on Saturday or Sundays otherwise I'd be there more often.

Good yards like that have been disappearing from the Minneapolis area. Used to be several I could get to in one afternoon in the northern suburbs, but they've all been closed and the land re-developed. Shame, because it is a lot of fun to go picking thru the cars, never knowing if you'll find treasure or not. I also liked the fact that you could gain experience during the dis-assembly in the yard, that would be helpful when time came to work on your own car at home.
