I love them
and luckily I live in a state where the good ones are easy as pie to get.
Anyone have any funny/interesting stories relating to fireworks or other pyromaniacal type stuff? I find that whenever homo sapiens plays with fire, the result is most often either hilarious or disastrous.
The only interesting story I have is about blowing half of my thumbnail off with a bottle rocket once. And about stowing away about a dozen smoke balls in my backpack, braiding the fuses together, and lighting them off in the crappy old elevator of a parking structure once....that was hilarious!!! Orange smoke everywhere!!!

I was camping with 10 people in Buchanan, MI at the RedBud MotoCross races. We were all drinking till early morning hours. The cops on horseback were coming around and telling everyone to go to bed and "No more fireworks" we told them we were just roasting hotdogs (had slight case of munchies) and he no sooner left when some unknown person walked past OUR campsite and threw in a whole package of firecrackers. All heck broke loose, we were surrounded by cops and they were ready to arrest us. They had one in cuffs and was calling for the paddywagon to come haul the rest of us in.
Another year (at the same location) the bottlerockets got so bad that they were coming from all directions and you were not safe just sitting at your campsite. We were diving into our tents for cover. It was like a free-for-all war zone.
I went to those races for 11 years and each year held wild & crazy memories.

bottle rockets are so fun, only moments ago i created myself a bottle rocket bazooka which consisted of a oh 6 foot or so piece of like 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe with duct tape over one end...light bottle rocket, throw it down in there, hold on shoulder, aim, PHOOM....POP! its good stuff, i suppose if i hadnt been usin the cheap stuff it wouldve been a tad more accurate.
Heh, we just put a foot deep crater in a feild. dynamite rocks.
Last year a buddy of mine threw a m-100 in my room through the window and made my cat crap himself, quite funny. I've got a scar on my head where I jumped up into the fan.
Two years ago a buddies dad put one of those shoot up in the air and blow up things in the tube upside down, there were like 30 of us standing right there and I don't think anyone got out of there without shrapnel injuries.
