Fiero & 5.3L LS4
Was it meant to be? I know they put the LS4 in the new GP GXP and Impy SS but I was wondering, why has noone tried putting one in a Fiero, I'm guessing its probably the cost of it. Getting a nice LS4 anywhere would probably cost yah something.
But does anyone know of anyone who has done that? Because thats the most powerful GM transverse mounted engine that comes to mind. You don't even need to mod em! I mean 303hp and 323 ft.lbs of torque would really get a 2650lb car moving like nobody'* business.
I know there are a few more things like the DOD and such. Not only would that raide the price of the engine even more, that must be a NIGHTMARE to wire up. But a nice big 303hp LS engine that probably would get 30-32 mpg on the highway with DOD and being in a superlight car, why has no one tried this? Is it size restriction? trans too big? axles won't match up? whats the dealio people?
