Favorite PC games.. (can be new or old.)
My favorites depend on the situation. For LAN gaming UT Game of the Year is by far the best, 2004 is fun but it'* not the same. Starcraft and Warcraft are also some favorites for LAN. Ravenshield is an awesome game, but you need people who know what they're doing otherwise it'* a slaughter.
I used to play hours upon hours of Starcraft back in the day. Man I flew on a 56k modem for online gaming then!
Then I got hooked to Counterstrike, but thats come and gone (was best when it was still Beta x.x).
Now I'm waiting with HL2 and CS:Source...this game will consume my soul.

Honorable mention to Stronghold Crusader. It is an awesome stratagy/ castle game.
Honorable mention to Hero'* of Might and Magic 3(complete).
As for Half Life 2..... I really want that game, it'* just a shame it is taking so darn long.
As for the people interested in older games, They make emulators that run off XP and other things to make the more "popular" old games work. My friend is really into the older stuff, Ill ask him for any good sites. He set up a 98 SE machine just for running his old games with a Dos something emu. Ill try and ask him about it or you can google it. Check ebay or flea markets for old machines, they can be had for like $50 or less and are perfect for old games. I got into PC games late, so I only like the newer ones, the older console games kick ***, I have almost every game system ever made.
