Can't get the above link to work, will load but says my connection to the internet failed and cannot update status?? Just want someone to click and scroll down to "view map" on the left hand "systemwide" icon and see if it works.

You can "Ping" any site on the web to see is its up or not.
All you need to do is go to a dos prompt and type the word Ping followed by a space and then the internet site in its entirety.
If all of the packets send and receive, then its up and good, if all of the packets fail, then its down.
