Default Fate? I hope so...

Okay, here'* the situation: I'm driving home from doing some chores, and I drive by the gas station right in front of my neighborhood. As I'm driving by, I spot this nice looking white '93 SSE parked out front, in a space that told me the guy was inside. Being my normal Bonneville-obsessed self, I drive in, intent on catching the guy and shooting the **** with him about his vehicle, not to mention get a lotto ticket. I get there as the guy is leaving, and I ask him about the car. We talk for about half a minute, then, as he'* leaving, I ask on an impulse if he happens to be selling it. Guess what? He tells me he and his wife were just talking about doing just that Anyways, he proceeded to tell me the particulars:

155k-ish miles (high, I know, but not much higher mileage than what I have now)
He is the ORIGINAL OWNER (so he said...)
Works as a mechanic at the local Ford dealership (was wearing the damn work outfit, for crying out loud...)
Says the only things he'* had to replace on it are tires and the water pump (not bad, even for a bonne...)
Besides that, the thing looked like it was in pretty nice condition for arround 155k miles. After a quick once-over, I didn't see any signs of overspray (in other words, repainted), the carpets looked pretty clean, and I didn't spot anything wrong with the leather inside. Steering wheel was kind of dirty and beat up, though :( Oh yeah, and he said something broke on the HUD adjuster where it came off some kind of track or something. That would need to be fixed before the HUD worked...

Anyways, I gave him my number, and told him to call me first when he decided he wanted to sell. So... what do you guys think?

I like those mini sandwhiches that gas stations sell. There delicious!

Think about what though? No price, no test drive, did you even start it up? Fate? Haaa, I saw a Lambo for sale on West Liberty, just so happened when I was pulling out of McDonalds,, maybe I should think about that purchase soon!

And 155k on a 12 year old vehicle, things will start giving out soon. Unless he was very up to keep on it monthly.

Water pump? Yes, I have to replace my car'* this weekend.

If I was you, I'd just wait if he calls. But if he does, make sure to look at everything, in and out. Also, that'* assuming that the price is reasonable.
