This seems to be a good place to ask.....what is a good brand of camera, then what model.

I know price can go up to insane prices.

Right now I have a Sony cybershot 3.2mp that I use for work and whatever else I want to take pictures of. I also use that one for quick video clips. One thing is that the color just doesn't seem to be there. it does have nice colors, but you know what I mean.

Here is a link to a few pics I took, to show you what I mean about color. This is in the full size 3.2mp. Also you will notice that the 1st and second pic are the same except I am zooming in in one of the pics, that seems to make it even worse. That is optical zoom not digital.

Any thoughts, something that is not really expensive, but better color than what I got?

Canon Powershot SD series are very small and very good quality for what they are.

But if you want the best possible quality, you need the SLR'*, and a good set of lenses. But that gets a tad pricey.

I am a member on this forum. They have a Buy/Sell forum and right now there are alot of great deals on Camera bodies and lenses. Mostly Canon and Nikon. You have to join to view the Buy/Sell forum. Better than cruising Ebay.

Yea, I've gotten stuff off of that site before. I bought my 85mm lens from a guy on there. It'* truly a great place to go, because mostly everyone has the same love for photography, as well as the respect and care for the equipment, so you get a good deal, and a good product. That 85mm lens I bought was used for a while, but looks brand new, and works pefectly.
