Default f***** winter **** *******

I got 4 major rock holes in my windshield in one day. The windshield was replaced right before I bought the car from the dealer, oem HUD windshield, no flaws at all....

- I hate trucks
- I hate gonneville (brian) becuase he drives one
- I hate trucks
- I hate trucks that pass other trucks and hit the gravel
- I hate hud windsheild prices
- I love hud
- I love hud
- I love hud
- I hate trucks

My car has also seen the first salt EVER in its life.

winter + nice cars = no

I get to drive solo to salt lake 8 hours of driving on monday and I'm sure we are going to have a repeat of trying to go to boise.

If I had a 2000+ ssei that I paid 10 grand for I might loose it, maybe its better if I drive older cars.

If anyone from a non-salt state replies to this thread I may throw this computer into the wall.

/rant

good news is that even with just 2 snow tires on these cars they are fricken awesome.

sorry to hear you have to subject the poor thing to salt. old cars subjected to salt end up looking like my car...

Do rinse often. Keep er rust free. And be nice to the windshield!!! JEES. and watch out, those cracks spread..fast!!!

Come winter, mine gets run through the drive-through, extra 8-10 bucks, car wash every other tank - Which means every other week.

And, just wanted to mention I run the same tires year round, and haven't had any issues with the snow yet.

Good luck on your trip! Be safe

How about a non-snow state

Rocks in the windshield do suck. You couldn't try to stop the spread of the cracks by using a drop of super glue??
Not sure if it would work but,it'* a thought

If it'* still just a star fish they sell a repair kit at most auto parts stores that will fix it, and prevent it from cracking.

I know we don't get near as cold as up north, but I've had the starfish on my windsheild since I got it (over a year) and it'* never spread any.

I've gotten several stones in the windshield but no chips yet. But I'm surprised I haven't. Have a safe trip Hans!
