Tony, Yup i did the same thing, Most say the same as the first link you posted and others say...
and thats my last resort :(
To resolve this problem, repair the Windows XP installation from your CD-ROM
Is there some sort of file missing? DOS copy?? Anything?

Already tride replacing the file
comres.dll that int he error message, but it didn't seem to help.
Iv done windows updates.
Virus Scanned.
Spyware Scanned.
Defrag.
Scandisk/checkdisk...
im running out of ideas :?
