Popa, I don't bash on Ford owners except in jest, but I mean every word when I bash on the actual cars. After the trouble my family and I have had with Fords over the years, I've earned the right.
Ask the NHTSA, Ford cars have the highest rate of recalls, investigations, and service bulletins in the industry.

Agreed. That is what severely soured me on Fords, was their build quality. My mom had TONS of Fords and all of them had to be junked due to severe problems. My mom bought a GM after that, and loved the car. And no, I am not bashing on anyone'* opinion'* on buying a certain brand.

HeHehe. I have a flair for saying what others only dare think. But glad you came forward Jack because alot of us feel the same way. And it is more in jest than an outright flame. I personally own a '94 Dodge Ram 3500 since it was new. It has close to 130,000 miles on it and never had one thing go wrong , no recalls that I know of. And still looks great. BUT I dont talk about it in a Club made for Bonny enthusists, or compare it to GM trucks. It'* the priciple of the matter. I bought a 88 Ford 4x4 and wont list all the things that have gone wrong, the money I've poured into it, or that it sits in a side yard rusting off it'* frame already.

Keep in mind that most of the Ford owners here either have or had a Bonnie at some point, or want to get one. And I think we can safely say that this site has really become a general 3800 site over the years, as we have a great many Buick, Olds, and Chevy 3800 owners here.
As long as F*rd (or other even less savory brands[H*nda]) posts aren't in the General or tech areas, I have no problem with them.

Hmmm... there is a 3.8 Thunderbird Supercoupe....

I think this club is more about car enthusiasts coming together, and the common theme is ultimately to celebrate the Bonneville. Sure, MyLittleBlackBird doesn't own a Bonnie, but he has developed a lot of respect for the 3800 Series 2, and has invested a lot of time and sweat into my Bonneville. It would be one thing if there were Ford guys here who hated the Bonneville, but the fact is everyone who continues to be active in this community has some kind of respect and attachment to the Bonneville or 3800 V6.

If we started limiting membership to those who only own a Bonneville, we would be missing out on a TON of pertinent technical information and helpful personalities. And we would have to kick out one of our Administrators, among other things. As long as you respect the Bonneville and participate in positive conversations about the car, you're more than welcome in my book.
