Well, I started getting ready to go to my class today and I get a text message from my school'* emergency alert system that says to stay inside and not go to your classes. Apparently, there is someone that is a potential threat to the community. Luckily, I live just off of campus so I'm not near where it'* happening but my girlfriend is. :?

She said that they blocked out all of the windows and were moving underneath the building for security reasons.

If everyone could just keep everyone involved in your thoughts as it'* nerve wracking sitting here not being able to do anything.

By the way, this is happening at Millersville University in Lancaster, PA.

I hope everything turns out ok. We had one of those up here at Penn State last semester so I know you you feel.

i hope all is well, we had an incident here a month or so ago, a guy entered a classroom ARMED with a whip and a stick, police were called and no one was hurt. i think he actually just got out of the looney bin...

Lockdown is over. Awaiting word on what happened

We've had two similar situations here at Shippensburg University this semester. Another third emergency txt got out this morning when somebody found a bomb threat note in our dining hall. I don't live on campus, but it does get me a bit nervous when this kind of crap happens.

I never had anything like that happen when I went to Temple U. in Philly. But, I did hear about a dozen gunshots over the time I spent there.

my gf wants to go 200 miles away to college, too..but if she wants to, it doesn't really bother me. It'* just that I can't get there in 10 minutes if something happens.
