No...never really had a "real" girlfriend, I have had relationships but never a regular couplish girlfriend. But I dont mind, I like the ability to get my own act together before I bring a girl into my life.

My goals are more important then finding a girl I suppose, got my career, got my transporation, got my bankroll, once I get my own space (house, condo, loft) then start sharing a life...

Or so goes the plan...but the long distance stuff has been interesting and fun

I agree with you. You have to have your own act together before you can bring someone else in. I think thats what I've been doing for the past few years. I am trying to get myself established and am very independent. When I get to the point that I am where I want to be then I will consider a relationship.

Good to see you agree with me on that one. Worrying about being tied down is not something I want to consider....its time to live life, if someone wants to join me, then let her, but realize that I have to take care of me first....get set then go!

Yes, I am getting the things I want. I have the house, camper, pickup, 2 bonnies and I got these on my own. I didn't need a man to help me. I am pretty content. I would like to get a pontoon boat or something to that effect. My son wants a wave runner but I don't like those (I had a bad mishap onone of those). I can't think of anything else that I really want. I'm pretty satisfied with life.

The only downside to your theory is that we don't know how long we will be on this earth. You might miss out on something really terrific. I to am enjoying being single but I am focused on getting my life in order.

I agree, the more you try to find someone the least likely you are to succeed. You just have to concentrate on you for now and before you know it you will meet someone.

Why don't you start pursuing hobbies like go to the gym, bike ride, take a class, something that will make you a better person for your own sake. I am always trying to find ways that will make me a better person or improve the quality of my life. As the saying goes- " A rolling stone gathers no moss." I don't study finding a man. You need to get your self situated and get your act together before you should think about bringing in a woman. You have a lot going for you but you have no confidence, no self esteem and women can sense that and will avoid you like the plague. Hold your head up high, you have a lot going for you.
